- 1/6 cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1 medium banana
- 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/4-1/2 coconut milk
Orange is the color not the fruit in this case. This smoothie also breaks our 3 color rule for good reason. The key ingredients are cantaloupe, banana, and pineapple. Banana and pineapple are beyond super fruit. They are both packed with magnesium, potassium, and other minerals. This smoothie gets you an electrolyte kick like no other.
In a blender, add one medium banana, 1/8-1/4 cantaloupe (to taste), and 1/2 cup pineapple. I used fresh pineapple, but canned is perfect as well. To help blend, always add 1/2 cup of your favorite non-dairy milk. Usually I find vanilla soy milk is best for smoothies, however, this has a tropical feel so coconut milk makes this taste like a piña colada dream. You always want to balance carbs with protein, so add 1/4-1/2 cup of Vanilla Greek yogurt. This helps to thicken the smoothie and ensures you receive at least 10 grams of protein. The non-dairy milk also aids in upping the protein count. Protein coming from different sources ensures that you get a more complete mix of all the amino acids necessary for energy and power.
Blend for a few minutes and it is ready to serve. You’ll get two delicious smoothies with a very unique taste. This smoothie is so unique and sweet.
