- 1/3 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1/3 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 green apple
- small bunch of red grapes (about 8)
- 1/4 cup diced pecans
- *1/4 cup vanilla soy milk if needed*
- *1 tbsp honey if desired*
Combine vanilla soy milk, cottage cheese, red grapes, diced green apple half, and diced pecans into the blender. Blend on medium to high for a few minutes and serve. As always, if you need thinner consistency, add a little more of your favorite milk. You can also put a teaspoon of honey on as a garnish if you really want to sweeten the dish. Honey is always a spectacular garnish because it boosts immunity.

The natural sugars and proteins are a spectacular way to start your day. The nuts also have healthy fat in them, which you have all day to use. I use Fat Free Cottage Cheese because the nuts have fats in them, which are much better for you than dairy fat anyway. Too much fat is bad for your d-tract and can cause more cramping with looser stools. You need to keep fat intake in small, controlled doses. This is loaded with amino acids, fiber, and minerals. For the bargain of about 350 calories, you are really building your reserves for the day.
